Ngamba Island
Ngamba Island is a home to 39 orphaned chimpanzees, a project of the Chimpanzees Sanctuary and Wildlife Conservation Trust (CSWCT), established to provide a home as well as conserve their fragile forest habitat. The Island is part of the Koome group of islands located on Lake Victoria 23km south of Entebbe, Uganda. Chimpanzees are an endangered species found only in the forests of Africa.
After a short briefing by your guide, depart from Entebbe Pier the shores of Lake Victoria and travel by boat to the island. The boat crosses the Equator en-route. On arrival at the sanctuary, you will be given a short introduction and briefing. You will then View the morning feeding of the chimpanzees from the visitors platform area along the edge of the sanctuary fence, it is fascinating to watch the chimps interact with each other and with
