A 3 Days (2 Nights) Gorilla Safari – Meet the mountain gorillas in Ruhija sector of Bwindi Impenetrable National Park, a UNESCO world heritage site in Uganda. Bwindi is situated in the Southwestern part of Uganda, on the border of the Great Rift Valley. Bwindi is habitat to more than 450 mountain gorillas which today are perhaps the most remarkable animals found on the African continent.
After the gorilla trek, enjoy a canoe ride on Lake Bunyonyi on this tour. Tracking begins early in the morning, about 8:30 a.m., and can go from 2 hours to the entire day basing on the gorilla’s movements.

Trip Itinerary
Day 1: Kigali – Lake Bunyonyi
Pickup from the Airport or Hotel by our professional safari guide. You will be briefed shortly about the trip. Go for a short Kigali City Tour. Visit the Gisozi Genocide memorial Museum. Begin your journey to Uganda and cross the border via Katuna. Continue to Lake Bunyonyi, one of the most beautiful places in Uganda.

Day 2: Gorilla Trekking in Ruhija
Have an early morning breakfast and travel to the nearby Ruhija Sector of Bwindi Impenetrable National Park. The journey takes about 1 hour and a half hours. Therefore you will leave Lake Bunyonyi at 6.00AM.
Upon reaching the Ruhija Outpost, you will be assigned to the gorilla family you will track and also get briefed about gorilla tracking in Bwindi Impenetrable National Park.
With a destination guide and ranger, begin your hike into the impenetrable jungles of Bwindi. The walks within Ruhija are moderate hikes. Upon meeting the habituated gorilla family, you have up to 1 hour to watch the gorillas as they do their daily chores. At the end of the 1 hour, start the hike back to the information center where you will find your tour guide. Return to Lake Bunyonyi. Relax all evening. Day 3: Travel back to Kigali
Have breakfast. Go for a boat ride along the Lake Bunyonyi and explore some of its islands. After the boat ride, embark on a return trip to Kigali. Drop of the hotel or airport in the evening.
