You will be met from your plane on arrival in Kigali and set off for Bwindi. Time permitting you’ll stop off to enjoy a guided nature walk in the thick forest rich in birds, butterflies and monkeys before arriving at Bwindi Lodge where you spend the next three nights.

In the morning after breakfast you will set out gorilla tracking gradually hiking high into the steep densely forested hills before finally you can cast your eyes on the gorillas which sit quietly camouflaged in the vegetation. Gorilla trekking in Uganda requires stamina and can often take the best part of the day.
Day 3: Second Gorilla Trek in Bwindi Impenetrable National Park
On your second morning you can either head out gorilla tracking again or go for a more leisurely guided nature walk in the thick forest which is rich in birds, colourful butterflies and agile monkeys. Alternatively you might like to go for a stroll around the lodge or for a walk to visit the nearby communities.
Day 4: Travel Back to Kigali
After three nights at Bwindi Lodge you will leave after breakfast for Kigali in Rwanda via Kabale and Katuna. On your way to the airport if time permits you will be able to tour the city, visit a local market, some of the pottery projects, or the genocide memorial before your flight.
